MAKESHIFT COMPANY
Makeshift Company foregrounds collaboration and stories, combining circus and dance to make theatrical pieces, podcasts and photo series.
Founded in 2016 by Emma Lister and Sakari Männistö, the Norfolk (UK) based company has produced two full-length pieces, Insomniac’s Fable (2017) and Ghost Town (2022, in partnership with Agit-Cirk). They have also taught movement centred juggling workshops for professionals and students and launched a podcast about the creative process entitled Movers Shakers Makers (2020-present).
